The easiest way to get free baby formula is to register directly with the formula companies. Typically you only need to provide your name, email and street address.
The formula manufacturers will send formula coupons and free formula samples by mail.

6. Free Baby Formula for Low Income Families
If you have low income (or are near the poverty level), you may qualify for free baby formula. Check out these resources:
SNAP (aka Food Stamps)
Food stamps are a great resource to help feed your family. Typically SNAP covers meat, produce, dairy and pantry items.
You can also use your SNAP benefits to buy baby food. This includes infant formula, cereals, juices, baby food and other food items.

WIC
If you qualify for food stamps (or even if your income is too high to qualify), you’ll probably be eligible for WIC too.
Womens, Infants and Children (WIC) is a government agency that provides nutrition help for at-risk families.
You can get food vouchers to use at your local grocery along with infant formula rebates. WIC also provides for fresh food at farmer’s markets.

Medicaid
If your child has a medical need for specialty baby formula that WIC or SNAP doesn’t offer, Medicaid may cover it.
Ask your Pediatrician for a baby formula prescription that can be filled at your local pharmacy. Like any other prescription written from a doctor, this may be a covered benefit under your Medicaid plan.

Food Banks
Search Feeding America to find local food banks. They partner with food pantries, soup kitchens, and meal programs in your local community to give away free food (some offer free formula).
Enter your zip code to find the food bank partnering with Feeding America. They’ll share the locations and hours of nearby food distributions.
7. Free Formula for Babies with Allergies
Every baby’s needs are different, and some children have allergies or special nutritional needs like a gluten-free or hypoallergenic baby formula.
Based on medical need, certain specialty formulas MAY be covered by insurance. Talk to your Pediatrician to get the needed information and documentation.
You may be able to get formula reimbursement from these support programs:
Enfamil Support Programs
- Helping Hands (Enfamil) – Families may be able to get a one-time shipment of any Enfamil product with a request from their doctor. The program supports reimbursable allergy formulas, specialty and metabolic products, like PurAmino, Nutramigen, EnfaCare, Pregestimil, etc.
- Nutramigen + PurAmino – Enfamil can help offset the costs of your baby’s formula including Enfamil Nutramigin formula.
- You’ll also get info about WIC and SNAP formula coverage and eligibility requirements to get free Enfamil formula.
Similac Support
Pathway Plus (Similac) – Coverage for Similac Alimentum, EleCare, NeoSure, PediaSure + more specialty infant formulas.
Nutricia Neocate Support
Nutricia – You may qualify for formula reimbursement from the Neocate Assistance program. Includes coverage for Neocate Syneo, Pepticate, Nutra, Nutricia Fortini and Neocate Infant formulas.
Specialty Formula Rx
SpecialtyFormulaRx – This program helps families navigate the complex process of getting the specialty baby formula your child needs through insurance coverage.
They take care of all the prescriptions, paperwork, and insurance claims so you can focus on taking care of your family.
Hypoallergenic Formula Samples (listed in alphabetical order)
Want to try out some hypoallergenic baby formula first? Score these free formula samples:

Bobbie For Change – Donates free Bobbie baby formula to Moms with cancer, survivors, and families that have experienced maternal loss.
